The formation has a verge flashing profile inclined over the end face of the roof shell and clamps the end faces of the roof shell above and below by a tipping movement of the flashing profile form. A roof support flange lies on the roof shell and is screwed to it. The flashing profile is T-shaped and has at least one plate (1.1) with a U-shaped foot formation (1.4,1.5) which fits under the roof shell or roof batten (5). A one-part roof holder flange (1.2) formed on the plate is screwed onto the roof shell and has plates that lie on top of the roof shell. The first plate formed under the roof support flange is spaced further from the plate than the foot formation formed on the plate. The flashing profile is guided in an inclined position over the front of the roof shell and is clamped in the front by a tipping movement between the foot formation and the first lower plate of the roof holder flange. The flashing profile may be covered by an externally catching profile metal sheet (3), or by two insertion plates (3.1).
