<p>Axial displacement of inclined revolving barrel type equipment fitted with counter weight mechanisms for their displacement involves the generation of non-equilibrium conditions of support of the barrel through a special system of scales, which is disposed underneath one of the track rings. Pref. two armed lever loaded rolls press against the sides of the track rings. This pressure is augmented by a reciprocating rocking pressure applied to one or several other track rings which is applied by two rollers fitted to a base which is reciprocated by a counter weighted lever linkage on which a weight is reciprocated. The system effects gentle movement of the plant causing minimum wear and is used for rotary kilns, dyers, coolers and similar plant.</p> |
