<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide PC(personal computer) remote management in a state in which sufficient security is maintained. SOLUTION: When a PC body 100 is waked up, its wake-up cause is checked. When it is detected that the wake-up cause is a wake-up signal from a LAN controller 31, the body 100 is returned to its operation state in a state in which the display screen of a display monitor such as an LCD is blanked (turned off) or an input by a keyboard and a mouse is locked. Thus, it is possible to prevent the leakage of secret information to a third person and an illegal operation by the third person even if the PC is started to operate by remote control in an unmanned state at night by returning a system state to an operation state in an instant security mode in which the display screen is blanked or a key input is locked.</p> |
