PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic separator capable of recovering the magnetic grains in a treated fluid efficiently and capable of being easily backwashed. SOLUTION: A vacuum vessel 16 in which superconducting coils 15 are housed is constituted of an annular body having a notch 161 at a part and arranged to surround a canister 11. The canister 11 is linearly moved and drawn out of the notch 161, and the superconducting coils 15 are kept away from the canister 11 when the separator is backwashed. |
