PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the paper tray for a facsimile equipment where a reception paper tray and a partition member are used in common for an original platen. SOLUTION: A paper tray 2 has a reception paper stock plate 2a that contains reception paper sheets 5 which are printed and cut. A resin-made partition plate 2b is fixed to an end of the reception paper stock plate 2a toward the facsimile equipment 1 with a gap. In this case, the reception paper stock plate 2a and the partition plate 2b are set not in parallel but tilted by a tilt angleθand the length of the reception paper stock plate 2a in the lengthwise direction is formed longer than the length of the partition plate 2b. Then a gap formed between the reception paper stock plate 2a and the partition plate 2b acts as a reception paper discharge port 2c. In the case of transmission, since transmission originals 15 are placed on the reception paper stock plate 2a of the paper tray 2, the partition plate 2b and a reception cover 14, it is not required to prepare an original platen separately.
