PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curtain opening/closing system for making a bed-ridden or seriously ill patient himself/herself able to easily open/close a curtain on the spot. SOLUTION: In this curtain opening/closing system, a hanging metal fitting 4 is mounted to a curtain rail, 3 so as to freely travel and the curtain 1 suspended and held by the hanging metal fitting 4 is automatically opened/ closed. Then, a self-traveling type drive unit 8 disposed so as to travel along the curtain rail 3 capable of being driven by a remote control operation is connected to the hanging metal fitting 4 positioned at the head of the curtain 1. To put it concretely, by attaching a traveling rail 9 and power supply rails 12a and 12b parallelly to the curtain rail 3 and bringing contact points 11a and 11b for power supply provided on the self-traveling type drive unit 8 into slidable contact with the power supply rails 12a and 12b, a power supply voltage is supplied and a roller 10 provided on the self-traveling type drive unit 8 is arranged at the traveling rail 9 and rotationally driven by the power supply voltage. |
