The pliers comprise two identical moldings (10) forming the handle and jaws (14). The exterior of the molding includes a retention groove for a U shaped spring (13) and the interior surface includes raised moldings (11,16) for locating a shaft (12) that acts as a fulcrum. Pads (50) are located at the jaws of the pliers to grip the components. The pads are semi spherical and are located in recesses (40) in the jaws.
