<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To economically provide synchronized duplex operation by setting an identical path to each pair of plural duplexed network fabric modules and switching to the fabric module in preparation from the fabric module in operation without any loss of a data packet. SOLUTION: A node control complex simply transmits control cells and the control cells directly change appropriate control memories. The control cells are transmitted in parallel to a duplexed entrance facility interface(FI), an exit facility interface(FI) and a common memory fabric, both of the duplexed units are simultaneously updated and pathes corresponding to both of the duplex units are used. In a duplexed ATM network fabric, a module in operation and a module in restoration are synchronized without loss of any cells.</p> |
