PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform high-quality and high-accuracy machining work without causing poor machining to a polyethylene naphthalene-made base plate by setting the cutting edge angle to the angle in the specified range and also setting the shear angle in the specified angle. SOLUTION: A machining tool 10 is provided with a lower blade 12 and an upper blade 14 and cuts a work piece 16 including a polyethylene naphthalene-made base material along a cutting estimated line 18. In the upper blade 14, the blade angleαdeg. to be projected to the surface perpendicular to the cutting estimated line 18 is the cutting edge angle, and the angleβdeg. in which the work piece 16 is pinched between the upper blade 14 and the lower blade 12 is a shear angle. The cutting edge angle is set in the range of 60 deg. to 90 deg., and the shear angle is set in the range of 25 deg. to 55 deg.. When the cutting edge angle is less than 60 deg., the base burrs are generated on the work piece, while, when the cutting edge angle is not less than 90 deg., emulsion chips and base whiskers are generated. Moreover, when the shear angle is less than 25 deg., the emulsion separation and base whiskers are generated, while, the shear angle is less than 55 deg., base burrs are generated.
