PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly bend a leaf valve by forming a damping force generating valve of a leaf valve, and providing a spacer with a cutout part. SOLUTION: A leaf valve 6 having a through hole 6a communicated with an orifice 4 and closing an orifice 5 is fitted between the upper face of a piston 2 and a valve holding piece 7. A spring 8 energizing the leaf valve 6 with constant spring force is interposed between the valve holding piece 7 and an outer peripheral part of the leaf valve 6. A leaf valve 9 serving as an expansion side damping force generating valve, and a spacer 10 are inserted through a socket and spigot joint part 3a of a piston rod 3 at the lower face of the piston 2 in such a way as to abut one on top of another in order, and held to the socket and spigot joint part 3a through a valve keep piece 11 by a nut 12 screwed to the end of the socket and spigot joint part 3a. The leaf valve 9 is formed of three valve pieces of different diameter placed one on top of another, and the spacer 10 has a cutout part smaller in diameter than the lowermost valve piece. |
