PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain abrasion by restraining exothermicity between a lip and its sliding counterpart in a rubber seal. SOLUTION: Grains 10 harder than a sealing material are included at least in a part of a lip 4 and these grains 10 are exposed on a sliding surface of the lip 4 on a rubber seal 1 furnished with the lip 4 made to make contact with a sliding counterpart. Consequently, the grains 10 are projected on the sliding surface of the lip 4 and become projections by initial abrasion of the sliding surface of the lip 4, a contact form of the sliding surface of the lip 4 and the sliding counterpart becomes point contact, and exothermicity and abrasion is restrained. |
