PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject agent capable of specifically inhibiting argingipain and growth of Porphyromonas gingivalis, having high safety without adverse effects and useful as antiperidontitis agent by bringing the subject agent to contain malabaricon C as an effective ingredient. SOLUTION: This argingipain inhibitor is brought to contain malabaricon C expressed by the formula as an effective ingredient. The compound of the formula is obtained by extracting, e.g. mace which is aril of Myristicaceae plant or nutmeg which is a nucleolus in seeds using a solvent such as chloroform, methanol or the like. When the agent is used as a medicine, the dose of the effective ingredient is preferably 1-100 mg/dg/day and can be administered in several times a day.
