PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the cooling of a driving semiconductor element through a structure that is compact in size and hard to become a draft loss, in this electric blower used with a brushless motor. SOLUTION: This blower is provided with a brushless motor and a plurality of blades, and further it is equipped with an impeller 12 stuck fast to a turning shaft 4, an air guide 13 set up on an outer boundary of this impeller 12, and a fan case 15 locked to a frame 7 containing the impeller 12 and the air guide 13, and set up with an inlet port 16 at the central part, respectively. Then, an outer cylinder 18 is installed on the outside of a frame 15, and an ventilating passage 19 letting air being produced by the impeller 12 and guided by the air guide 13 flow an outer boundary of the frame 7, is constituted in space between the outer cylinder 18 and the frame 7, then a driving semiconductor element 20 is directly or indirectly attached to the outer cylinder 18. With this, such a cooling structure as being compact in size, excellent in efficiency, low in noise and high in safety can thus be realized. |
