The invention relates to a method and a device for vibration-exciting a stationary mould for the continuous casting of metals, especially steel. Stands equipped with guide rollers are situated downstream of said mould. Vibration exciters (21) are provided and are situated in at least the head area (12) of the mould (11). The length (LK) of the walls (15, 16) of the mould is greater than the length (LW) of the maintained wave of the vibration. The opening (13) of the mould (11) rests on an abutment (31). |
