The air flow regulator consists of a primary grill (16), with a series of primary blades (22), which define a series of elongated openings (24). A secondary grill (18) consists of a series of secondary blades (26), which define a secondary series of elongated openings (28). The two series of grills are designed to be relatively displaced, in a direction parallel to the planes of the grills, between an open position where the flow of air through the openings is a maximum, to a closed position where the flow is minimum or zero.
