The operating aid has a hand receiver in a seat armrest which can be pulled out telescopically and turned. It has sensors for elongation and torsion, to produce brake and throttle signals for the corresponding control devices. The hand receiver is upholstered and us in the form of a U open at the top, on the end of a telescopic rod which can extend the armrest.
