<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent picture quality from being deteriorated by automatically adjusting a clock phase to an optimum value when an image signal input is converted from analog to digital. SOLUTION: The automatic picture quality control unit is equipped with a clock generation part 3 which generates a clock in a reference signal cycle and an A/D converter 2 which samples the analog image signal input with the clock and converts it into digital image data and further a phase difference detecting circuit 1 is added which detects the total of absolute values of temporal variation quantities of the digital image data; and the phase of the clock generated by the clock generation part 3 is optimized so that the detection value becomes the maximum, thereby minimizing deterioration in the picture quality of the digital image data.</p> |
