METHOD AND DEVICE FOR RECOGNIZING HANDWRITTEN CHINESE CHARACTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method for recognizing a handwritten KANJI (Chinese character) through stroke recognition. SOLUTION: This method includes a step for recognizing handwriting strokes, a step for updating a stroke code sequence, a step for retrieving at least one corresponding character or idiom item from a dictionary or vocabulary catalog, a step for dynamically displaying at least one candidate KANJI or idiom, a step for making a jump to a stroke recognition step when it is judged that a next stroke has been written, and a step for inputting, as a recognition result, the displayed KANJI or idiom to a computer when the user has selected the character or idiom.
