PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic device using an inexpensive photoconductive member capable of reducing image defect such as void caused by peeling of amorphous silicon accumulated film and obtaining a high-quality image. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a cylindrical photoreceptor with a light receptive layer having a photoconductive layer on a conductive base substance, whose conductive layer incorporates amorphous silicon and whose conductive base substance has the thickness of >=0.1 mm and <2.5 mm, and an electrifying device for the photoreceptor; and the film thickness of the photoconductive layer is >=5μm and <20μm. In the electrifying device; an electrifying member is brought into contact with the surface of the photoreceptor. By applying voltage on the electrifying member, the photoreceptor is electrified. Then, a heating element with a positive resistance temperature coefficient having no joint is used as a heater inside the photoreceptor. |
