摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust ball bearing to remarkably reduce the generation of bearing-friction torque through stabilization thereof even when slight non- coincidence occurs between the two thrust bearings of a thrust ball bearing. SOLUTION: This thrust ball bearing comprises two thrust bearings 1 and 2 having a raceway surface containing an arcuate section; a plurality of balls 4 making contact with the two thrust bearings 1 and 2 and interposed between the two thrust bearings 1 and 2; and an auxiliary thrust bearing 3 having a raceway surface containing an arcuate section and holding the ball 4 between the thrust bearings. In this case, the contact angle of the raceway surface of the thrust bearing 1 and the contact angle of the raceway surface of the thrust bearing 2 are differed in an angle from each other. The curvature radius R2 of the raceway surface 21 of the thrust bearing 2 having a large contact angle is smaller than the curvature radius R1 of the raceway surface 11 of the thrust bearing 1 having a smaller contact angle.
