Device to measure atmospheric pressure in IC engine

A control unit (5) controls the fuel injection based on sensor signals. The sensors include a suction pressure sensor (6) located close to the throttle valve (3) and a throttle sensor (7) for monitoring the opening angle of the valve. If the opening angle exceeds a certain threshold value and increases, the control unit updates the atmospheric pressure based on the suction pressure. An Independent claim is included for a method for using the device.
