PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform printing or erasing of a reversible thermal recording medium by providing means for correcting warp generated in a card through flexing. SOLUTION: Since an erasing plane is not heated uniformly when a coloring type rewrite card 1 carried to the position of a erasing bar 5 has been warped, the card 1 is applied with a platen roll 3A from the rear surface. Consequently, the card 1 is flexed to correct the warp and brought into uniform contact with the erasing bar 5 before being heated. The card 1 is flexed within a range of 1-7 mm. The part of the card 1 touching the erasing bar 5 is heated continuously and then the heated card 1 is cooled gradually thus erasing information printed on the surface.
