PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a high-gradient magnetic sepn.(HGMS) to sepn. of vital substances (cells, cellular organs and other vital substances), more specifically to provide a microcolumn or a microcolumn system for the high-gradient magnetic field sepn. of high polymers and cells. SOLUTION: This microcolumn system consists of an HGMS microsepn. column 100 and a matrix 110 which is first 110a and second tubular portion 10b, which first portion 110a is integrated with the second portion 110b, which first portion 110a has a first cross-sectional area, which second portion 110b has a second cross-sectional area, the first cross-sectional area not being the same as the second cross-sectional area, and which is adapted to selectively remove at least one component of a mixture as a mixture stream passing the tubes. The matrix 110 is contained in at least part of the first portion 110a and at least part of the second portion 110b. The matrix 110 is composed of a ferromagnetic material. |
