Bacteriophage expression system for production of composition for induction of tumor specific responses

A tumor specific antigen gene is amplified from an individual tumor cell and cloned after purification, into a vector for expression in a phage system for producing a composition suitable for inducing a tumor specific immune response in vertebrates. A method to produce a composition that is suitable for inducing a vertebrate tumor specific immune response comprises: (1) amplifying nucleic acid from a gene for a tumor specific antigen from an individual tumor cell; (2) cloning the gene into a vector system after gel electrophoresis purification and digestion with suitable restriction enzymes; and (3) expressing the gene in a phage-expression system. An Independent claim is also included for a composition as above to provide specific immunotherapy of neoplasia in humans.
