PURPOSE:A low toxic paddy-field herbicide, effective in a small amount, comprising 2,4-dichlorophenyl-3'-methoxy-4'-nitrophenyl ether and a specific pyrazole derivative, having a synergistic effect, and controlling all the weeds with one dusting. CONSTITUTION:2,4-Dichlorophenyl-3'-methoxy-4'-nitrophenyl ether and a pyrazole derivative of the formula [X is H, 4-toluenesulfonyl, -(CH2)n-Y(Y is lower, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkoxy carbonyl and aliphatic acyl, etc.; n is 1 or 2.)] are mixed to give a paddy-field herbicide having a remarkable synergistic effect, and controlling many kinds of weeds in a small amount. The pyrazole derivatives are novel compounds except some, and 1,3-dimethyl-4-(2,4-dichlorobenzoyl)-5-hydroxy-pyrazole, etc. may be cited. |
