PURPOSE:To prevent the meandering motion of the strip, and to manufacture the coil with excellent coiled style, by calculating the variation of horizontalness of the drum from the variation in the weight of coil held in the coiler drum, and by installing the mechanism to control horizontalness of the deflector roller to the specified value. CONSTITUTION:The r.p.m. of the motor 13 directly connected to the coiler drum 6 of the rolling plant is counted by the pulse generator 14 whose output is sent to the arithmetic unit 15. The data inserter 17 inputs specifications of strip 4 (thickness, breadth, specific gravity) and the specification of the drum 6 to the arithmetic unit 15 which then operates horizontalness of the drum 6, and inputs the result to the arithmetic controller 16. On the other side, the deflector roller 4 is supported by bearings 15, 16, so as to be movable vertically, and is controlled by above stated controller 16 through the motor 20 so as to equalize the horizontalness of the deflector roller 4 and the horizontalness of the drum 6. The displacement of the motor 20 is sent to the controller 16 as the feedback by the pulse generator 21, and the displacement is controlled to the specified value. Hereby, the coil 10 with excellent style is obtained. |
