PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the unnecessary wear of a photoreceptor drum without displacing a transfer unit by providing a separating means for separating a cleaning member from an image carrier not participating in image formation in execution of subtractive color mode. SOLUTION: The backward and forward movement of the plunger of a solenoid 490K is performed according to the instruction from a CPU, and when the plunger is moved backward, a hook at the tip of the plunger hooks the bar member 488K of a traction member 485K, and pulls it in the direction of the inner wall on which the solenoid 490K is mounted. According to this, a leaf spring 482K is also pulled on the solenoid 490K side, the pressure contact state of a cleaning blade 484K to a photoreceptor drum 48K is consequently released, and the cleaning blade 484K is separated from the photoreceptor drum 48K. By separating the cleaning blade 484K in this manner, unnecessary wear of the photoreceptor drum 48K or the cleaning blade 484K can be prevented. |
