PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide many video services regardless of simple wiring form and to provide all broadcast services desired in all indoor rooms at a low cost by reducing the wiring cost and the terminal cost. SOLUTION: The system consists of a master device 1 and pluralities of terminals 2, which are wired according to the star topology using optical fibers for distribution of images. The system is provided with the master device 1 having pluralities of reception sections for a video signal each consisting of a tuner 5, an A/D converter 6, a demodulation circuit 7 and an error correction circuit 8 and having means 9, 12 that apply time base multiplexing to digital broadcast signals outputted from the reception sections and apply electrooptic conversion to the processed signals and with each terminal 2 that applies photoelectric conversion (13) to the signal distributed via the optical fiber 3, selects (16) a required digital broadcast signal from the signal that is time base multiplexed, decodes (18) video and audio signals from the broadcast signal and reproduces the video and audio signals. |
