PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To function various actions while utilizing a telephone number even when the telephone number is registered without including a toll number by adding the local number of a present station to the top of inputted telephone number information when the number of digits in the inputted telephone number information is more than six digits and less than the number of digits in the telephone number information of the present station. SOLUTION: The user's on telephone number is inputted by a key input part 1 while including the toll number and this is stored in a present station information storage means 5. Continuously, information such as the telephone number and name of an acquaintance or the like is inputted. The inputted number and character strings are stored in a storage means 4 for telephone directory by a CPU 2 while being related, and simultaneously displayed on a display part 6. In order to check whether the toll number is omitted in the registered telephone number or not, the number of digits in the telephone number stored in the storage means 4 for telephone directory is compared with the number of digits in the telephone number of the present station stored in the present station information storage means 5 and processing is performed only concerning the number having digits >=6 digits and less than the number of digits in the telephone number of the present station.
