The plastic transport and storage box (1) for heavy reference books has a hinged lid (2) and a lock (3). When open, the inside of the lid presents an inclined rest forming a book reading support. The box sides have lifting handles. The front and rear panels have ergonomically formed grip recesses. The box and lid are made using injection-molded plastic.
