An apparatus for measuring blood pressure comprises a shell (1) which is entirely closed and is provided with at least one port (4) which can be locked in a closure position using a lock. In the outer part of this shell, and fixed rigidly to the said shell, there is a rigid tubular support (8) of a diameter suitable for allowing the user's arm to be inserted, and to be inserted being suitably inclined to make this insertion easier; inside the rigid support, there is mounted a pneumatic cuff (9) covering the inner surface of the support, which pneumatic cuff is provided with a microsensor (10) and is connected to a compressor (24) housed inside the shell, by means of which it is possible to inflate the cuff until it tightens around and compresses the user's arm with the necessary pressure. <IMAGE>
