<p>The press yokes (6,7) are on a plane at right angles to, and diametrically opposite, the press axis (51), and are moved towards each other by a drive unit (30) in a straight line. At least one part of the cheek plates mounted in the yokes has slide surfaces which each cooperate with a control surface (17,18,21,22) of a press yoke or an adjacent cheek plate. The drive unit has at least one cross slide (31), in a housing (1), whose movement is converted into a movement of the press yoke.</p> |
