PURPOSE:To eliminate a particular mounting tool and to insulate a muffler from heat simply and at a low cost, by a method wherein by a method wherein a lower cover part, with which the bottom of a muffler is covered, is secured to a muffler cover part through engagement of projected parts with their mating recessed parts. CONSTITUTION:An engine cover 15 is formed such that a cylinder cover part 16 and a muffler cover part 17, located to the side of the cylinder cover, are integrally resin-molded. In this case, the under surface of the muffler cover part 17 is formed in an open state, and hole parts 33 and 36 for securing are formed in the lower end part thereof. Meanwhile, a lower cover part 27, isolating a space between the muffler and an underlaying fuel tank, is formed separately form the muffler cover part 17, and projected parts 30 and 32, engaged with hole parts 33 and 36, respectively are formed in the lower cover part 27. Through engagement of the projected parts 30 and 32 of the lower cover part 27 with the hole parts 33 and 36, respectively, the lower cover part 27 is secured to the lower end of the muffler cover part 17. |
