BRANCHING METHOD FOR OPTICAL CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently execute branching work after laying a unidirectionally stranded optical cable without cutting a tension member. SOLUTION: This branching method of the optical cable is provided with a drawing process for drawing a slack 16 for an offset secured in the laid optical cable 17 beforehand to a branching position 20 and forming a curved part 22 on the optical cable 17, an optical fiber take-out process for taking out a target optical fiber to be branched from the part from which a cable outer jacket is removed of the curved part 22 and a closure assembly process for moving the slack 16 for the offset to a position separated from the branching position 20 after the completion of the optical fiber take-out process and completing an optical closure at the branching position 20 and re-branching work is also easily executed by utilizing the slack 16.
