Electro-mechanical actuator for automatic mechanical gearbox fitted to motor vehicle

The electro-mechanical actuator has a motor-reduction gear unit (3,10',25') controlled by a power module (2). The connection with the gear selectors is through an elastic coupling (30) which stores energy to permit sharp release of the power of the motor-reduction unit to the selectors. An end-of-travel switch and a position detector allows determination of the state of the system.
