PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential gear that has improved the strength of a clutch member in a conical friction clutch and also seizable resistance in combination. SOLUTION: In a bevel gear type differential gear 1 to be equipped with a differential case 5, a pinion gear 17 in mesh with a pair of output side gears 21 and 21 rotatably supported on a pinion shaft 13 integrally rotated with this differential case 5, a taper ringlike intermediate member 31 being interposed between both taper parts 5e and 21a between the differential case 5 the paired side gears 21, the differential case 5 receives each thrust of the side gears 21 via the intermediate member 31, and a facing material 33 is adhered to an inner surface of this intermediate member 31.
