<p>The method involves limiting the engine torque (2) to a first limiting value (4) below a predefined torque when driving with a slipping clutch, pref. in first gear. The torque limiting can be applied in a starting gear, pref. first, second or reverse gear. When driving with slip has finished the torque is limited to a second value above the first limit value but below the predefined torque. Other torque limit values can be used, e.g. for fuel saving mode. Independent claims are also included for an arrangement for controlling a motor vehicle with an automatic gearbox and for a vehicle with such an arrangement.</p> |
