PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent powdery dust or the like from sticking on the surface of a liquid crystal(LC) panel by placing a polarizing plate on the incident side of the LC panel and sealing the incident plane of the package of the IC panel and the emission plane of a reflection polarizing plate. SOLUTION: The package of the LC panel is constituted so as to be fixed on an LC panel supporting frame 104 by holding an LC layer 102 between an input side glass plate 101 and an output side glass plate 103 and sealing the LC layer 102 with an adhesive agent 105. The polarizing plate, for which a polarizing film 92 is adhered onto a glass plate 91, is adhesively fixed on a polarizing plate supporting frame 92 and fixed on an LC panel supporting plate 107 by the polarizing plate supporting frame 93. After screwing, the polarizing plate is tightly adhered on the LC panel supporting frame 104, the incident side of the LC panel is turned into sealed state and no powdery dust sticks. Further, even when powdery dusts stick on the incident side reflection polarizing plate or glass plate 110, since focusing is performed on the LC panel, picture quality is not affected. |
