The invention concerns a method which consists in first extruding a mixture of standard granules for an extrudable composition of a first colour comprising a predetermined proportion of granules of a second colour, said second colour granules having differential thermal behaviour characteristics with respect to the first colour granules, such that they are not entirely melted but remain at least partially solid. The invention is useful for making weld runs for thermoplastic floor covering (such as PVC) or for thermosetting floor covering (such as linoleum).
