The invention relates to a lighting installation, for instance, airport or road navigation lights, obstacle warning lights, advisory, warning and signal lights or the like, comprising a device for monitoring, controlling and regulating its light sources (4) or groups of light sources (4), each of which has at least one light unit (10) that is allocated to a send-receive device (3) with a microcontroller, which is connected by a power supply line (6) and a router (8) to a central unit (2) having a send-receive section and a control computer, and which can be impinged upon by control signals therefrom. In order to safely and reliably operate large-sized lighting installations having a plurality of light sources that are controlled and regulated differently with comparatively little complexity, the microcontrollers of each light unit (10) are components of a decentralized control unit (3) having applicationspecific components such a switching, monitoring and regulating elements. |
