A prosthetic heart valve (10) for implantation in a heart includes an outer orifice ring (14) for coupling to a tissue annulus of a heart (42). An inner orifice ring (12) includes at least one leaflet occluder (18) carried in a lumen (22) of the inner orifice ring (12) which is movable between an open position, which allows blood flow through the lumen (22), and a closed position which blocks blood flow through the lumen (22). The inner orifice ring (12) is adapted to be coupled to the outer orifice ring (14) after the outer orifice ring (14) has been attached to the tissue annulus (48).
