FIELD: equipment for separating liquids with different specific weight. SUBSTANCE: separator has settler, pipelines for connecting settler to reservoir positioned higher than settler to form communicating vessels system with reservoir. Telescopic pipeline for discharging water from settler is attached to settler top and has curved portion with opening. Since water is heavier than oil, it flows via pipeline from reservoir into settler and oil is left in reservoir. Telescopic pipeline curved portion has opening in its upper part to prevent pipeline from functioning as siphon. EFFECT: increased efficiency, improved quality of liquid separation and reduced consumption of energy. 2 dwg
