<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain energy saving by the rationalization of aeration air quantity, the early discovery treatment of the abnormal inflow of waste water and the labor saving of operation control work in waste water treatment utilizing aerobic bacteria. SOLUTION: Waste water during aeration treatment is sampled to measure dissolved oxygen in waste water, a dissolved oxygen reducing change (curve) in such a state that the inflow of new waste water is stopped thereafter and a change (curve) of dissolved oxygen increased by aerating waste water and the activity of sludge, the concn. of untreated BOD and the quantity data of aeration air obtained by measurement are compared with an objective data/ curve pattern to emit a signal designating and controlling an increase/decrease in aeration air quantity. In this case, when the concn. of dissolved oxygen at a time of measurement in such a state that the inflow of new waste water is stopped, waste water is aerated for a short time at a time of measurement, to increase the concn. of dissolved oxygen to a degree reducing the concn. of dissolved oxygen linearly to measure a reducing speed of dissolved oxygen.</p> |
