<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a red pigment wet cake composition comprising only a non-aggregating crystal type pigment, combinedly having improved dispersibility, excellent colorability and excellent transparency, and having a low water content, especially a red pigment wet cake composition smaller in load in waste water treatment and in a short in time for waste water treatment in a flush process in the preparation of a lithographic ink. SOLUTION: This red pigment wet cake composition comprises C.I. pigment red 57:1 whose surface may be treated with one of various kinds of surface- treating agents and which has a characteristic crystal structure having relatively strong diffraction strength at 2θ(diffraction angle degrees) of 4.54±0.05 deg., 11.05±0.05 deg., 20.74±0.05 deg., and 25.44±0.05 deg., and has a water content of <=55 wt.% in the wet cake. The lithographic ink contains the wet cake composition and a vehicle for the ink.</p> |
