<p>The system has a controller (8B) that compares the vacuum level of the brake actuation pressure (PB) with a predefined level corresp. to the permitted upper limit value of the vacuum level to control the engine (1) in a mode for the vacuum level being below the defined level. If the vacuum level is greater than or equal to the defined level, the controller controls the engine in a stoichiometric mode with reduced air input and increased fuel input, therefore richer mixture, whereby the vacuum level is held lower than the defined level.</p> |
