PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable non-woven fabric comprising filament webs each capable of controlling a biodegradation rate and having excellent strength and weave. SOLUTION: This biodegradable non-woven fabric wherein regions comprising mutually fused filaments are disposed at distances is obtained by laminating and thermally fusing one or two filament webs comprising a high mol.wt. polymer prepared by binding the plural molecules of polybutadiene succinate polymer synthesized from 1,4-butanediol and succinic acid to each other through urethane bonds to the surface or both the surfaces of a filament web comprising polylactic acid polymer containing L-lactic acid or D-lactic acid units in an amount of >=80 mol.%. The filament web comprising the polylactic acid polymer containing L-lactic acid or D-lactic acid units in an amount of >=80 mol.% has an average single filament fineness of 1-10 denier and a METSUKE of 5-50 g/m<2> , and the filament webs comprising a high mol.wt. polymer prepared by binding the plural molecules of polybutadiene succinate polymer synthesized from 1,4-butanediol and succinic acid to each other through urethane bonds have an average single filament fineness of 1-10 denier and a METSUKE of 5-50 g/m<2> . |
