PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frequency synthesizer, which varies the response time of a phase-locking loop circuit system externally and a radio equipment that is provided with the frequency synthesizer and to provide the radio equipment the enables high-speed operation especially at the time of scan, polling and data transmission which in particular require high-speed property. SOLUTION: A changeover switch 130 which sets a response time of a system is provided outside a phase-locked loop circuit, and the on/off of a switch 109 is controlled from a controller 110 in accordance with a setting mode of the switch 130. The switch 19 is controlled to be always in an on-stage, to accelerate the response time of the system, by setting the switch 130 to a high-speed mode at the time of scan, polling and data transmission which especially require high-speed property. |
