<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce flow resistance of a fluid passing through the interior of a joint by installing a seal material interposed between a female valve body slid along the interior of a female joint main body and the female joint main body in a seal groove formed in the inner periphery of the female joint main body. SOLUTION: A seal material 28 (O ring or the like) made of rubber for preventing leakage of a fluid is interposed between a female valve main body 21 and a female joint main body 20. The seal material 28 is installed with a backup ring 30 in a seal groove 29 formed to be opened to the inner periphery of the female joint main body 20 and resiliently pressed to the outer periphery of the female valve body 21. Thus, the wall thickness of the female valve main body 21 is decreased to enlarge the passage area of a fluid passage U in a space up to a bar-like member 22. Accordingly, the flow resistance of a fluid passing through the fluid passage U in the female coupling can be reduced.</p> |
