PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To return a device in some degree automatically or by a user even when a copying machine is not used for a long term, and a countermeasure for non-use for a long term is not executed, by monitoring the operation state at an operation part based on a timer, and providing a plurality of sequences capable of dealing with the operation state. SOLUTION: A timer operating by a power source different from a main power source is provided, the operation state at an operation part is monitored based on the timer, and a plurality of sequences capable of dealing with the operation state are provided. For example when a copying machine is decided not to be used for some term, after completing sequence during an ordinary wait time, cleaning of a primary charged, wire, idle rotation of a development counter 7, cleaning of a transcription drum 17, and idle rotation of fixing rollers are performed in a printer part, and automatic regulation of the sensor of a CCD 3 15 performed in a leader part. Thereafter, a test pattern is output, and when a user judges the device to be in a good level, the OK button on an operation screen is pushed to make the device in an ordinary copy stand-by state. |
