RUBBER-THREAD WINDING GOLF BALL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve spin performance, controllability and carry at all head speeds and to enable particularly a player of a low head speed to increase a carry. SOLUTION: This golf ball is formed by winding thread rubber 2 on a center ball 1 of a two-layered structure consisting of an inner layer 4 and an outer layer 5 and covering this winding with a cover 3 from above the same. The outside diameter of the center ball 1 is 30 to 36 mm and the weight thereof is 19.5 to 31.5 g. The sp. gr. of the outer layer 5 is 1.0 to 1.2 and the Shore D hardness thereof is smaller by >=5 than the inner layer 4 and the thickness thereof is 1 to 6 mm. The thickness of the cover 3 is 1 to 3 mm.
